Questions
What tasks will the robot do?
My robot can collect samples for testing, is fully AI operated, can drill into the ground and has big wheels to climb over rocks.
What challenges/opportunities is your robot tackling?
My robot can collect samples and safely store them in a compartment, while most robots cannot do that. For example, For the rovers on Mars, there is a mission called “Poop, scoop, and shoot”. This is to get samples to Earth. My rover, however, can get samples, store them, and bring them back to the lunar base
What sensors will the robot use to help it carry on its tasks?
I have a ultrasonic sensor on the front to help see where it is going, Infared sensors to help see heat and locate home base, and a line sensor just in case it gets lost.
What decisions will the AI make to help the robot?
The AI can be used to pathfinding, sample collecting, and many other things such as repairs, and knowing when the battery is done to come back to home base
What actions does the robot do when it makes those decisions?
When the robot detects something in front of it, it goes around it. When it detects that its battery is low, it goes back towards home base. When it detects something that is very hot, its goes in the opposite direction. If it gets lost, then it uses the GPS built in from satilite imagery. It can use its arm to do repairs.
What is your AI robot's name?
My robot’s name is Gus."
