the robot will consist of an ultra-sonic sensor as well as an inferred sensor.

The ai will decide whether the artifact will fit in the storage compartment and whether it is of any use to the research.

If the artifact is important, it will use its hands to pick it up and fit it into the storage compartment. However, if the item is too large, it will pinpoint the GPS location so it can come back and further examine later.
