REGALLOON

Designed by: Rownen

"The Regalloon is a lunar robot that independently collects regolith and processes it into useable oxygen and minerfals.

Lunar regolith is on average 40% oxygen but it is attached to minerals like magnesium and titanium. The Regalloon uses a bunch of sensors to travel over the surface of the moon (360 degree camera, navigation, collision avoidance, and proximity sensors). It can pick up lunar rocks using a vacuum or robotic arm system. The regolith is converted into oxygen using electrolysis and calcium chloride. The oxygen then fills balloons and is carried by mini drone to the base. The minerals are cooled to solid form and dropped as bricks to be picked up or used by another drone."
